Nobel Prize-Winning Growth Factors

da Vinci 21 and da Vinci 10 are two NEW anti-aging serums to hit the market in Australia.

Do you see any of these 3 signs of aging?

  • Skin colour becomes greybecause of less blood flow.
  • Facial Shape becomes collapsedand droopy as muscle and collagen decrease.
  • Skin texture becomes less smooth. As a result, the person looks worn, tired or droopy.

Have you heard about PRP a “Vampire Facelift”?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is the source of concentrated platelet content present in blood. Platelets release growth factors that are protein which assists the human body to repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue. They were discovered in 1986 by Professor Cohen and Rita Levi Montalcini who both won a Nobel Prize for their discovery. PRP injections were first used in 1987 in open heart surgery. Today the plasma can easily be separated from blood, through a process of centrifugation. The concentrated plasma, which is rich in platelets – the part of the blood with the growth factors, is then injected into the face. Some practitioners combine it with dermal fillers to further plump up problem areas, such as under the eye.

PRP treatment has been used for almost 20 years to accelerate the healing of wounds and burnt skin, and help athletes – including tennis ace Rafael Nadal – to recover from injury. (Using your enriched plasma permits the body to heal faster and more efficiently.) Platelets are the cells in the blood that help tissue to heal and grow new cells. The PRP, injected into specific areas of the skin, act as a matrix that promotes your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue, and thus acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin. In this way, PRP softens wrinkles and creating smoother skin texture and tone.

The godmother of vampire facials is socialite Kim Kardashian, but even our own sweet-faced Anna Friel has reportedly succumbed to the trend.

What is da Vinci 21?

da Vinci 21 is a world first formula containing five growth factors designed to mimic the body’s own natural growth factors in improving the youthfulness and health of skin. There is 21,000ng/ml of Growth Factors in one bottle. That’s 944 times stronger than the body’s own ability to regenerate new, firmer and healthier looking skin.  These powerful growth factors act on the skins receptors to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone, provide a smoother and firmer matrix supporting the epidermis, and stimulates collagen and elastin.

da Vinci 21 requires micro needling to ensure the very large and powerful protein molecules are penetrating beneath the dermis.

da Vinci 21 is not of human origin and has been formulated in a university hospital using protein technology to make a powerful anti-aging serum.

da Vinci 10 is a home care treatment which can be used without micro needling and works best when combining an 8-10 week in-clinic programme using da Vinci 21.

How many treatments should I have?

Younger client may require a single treatment once per year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most clients to receive a series of three treatments spaced about three weeks apart. Older patients with deep wrinkles advanced photo-ageing, stretch marks or ice-pick acne scars will need to receive from six to ten sessions. You will be advised at the time of consultation.

What is the downtime?

Immediately after the treatment you will be given an Omnilux treatment, which reduces redness, although you may notice a like mild sunburn feeling to your skin. Your total healing time depends on the depth of needles used, on average; most patients heal completely within 24 hours, although some clients can be blemished for up to 2 days (sometimes up to 4 days after more aggressive treatments).
